Our thesis
Software development changed in 2023. Most studios haven't caught up.
For thirty years, building production software was a slog. Estimates were measured in quarters. Two-person teams could not realistically ship full SaaS products. Founders had to choose between raising big rounds, hiring offshore teams, or learning to code themselves.
AI changed the math. A senior engineer with Claude or GPT in the loop now ships at 3–10× the speed of a senior engineer working alone. The bottleneck moved from "can we build it" to "do we know what to build."
Tactics Digital YYC was founded on this thesis. We are not an agency that has bolted on a few AI features. We are a studio that built its workflow around AI from day one. That is how we ship a complete SaaS solo in 45 days. That is how we keep prices reasonable while doing real engineering.
How we work
Three principles, applied every day.
1. Build the smallest version that proves the idea.
Most software fails because it ships too much, too early. We deliberately strip scope. The product on launch day is incomplete. The product on day 90 is shaped by users, not assumptions.
2. AI in the loop on every commit.
Code review, architecture review, test coverage, documentation. Claude is involved before every push to main. The leverage compounds across a project — small decisions improve, regressions get caught, the codebase stays understandable.
3. The client owns everything.
Source code, infrastructure, deploy keys, customer data, vendor accounts. We do not lock you into proprietary platforms. The day after handover, you could fire us and your business keeps running. This is not optional for us.

- ✗Marketing-site builds, logo redesigns, generic agency work
- ✗Equity-only deals or "we will pay you when we raise" engagements
- ✗Bidding wars or RFP processes — we pick clients based on fit, not price
- ✗Scope creep without re-scoping — every change has a price
